Summer is upon us and the climate is perfect to relish in a tropical afternoon by the beach with some of the most delightful cocktails.
Surf Caffè, located next to Serafina Beach Hotel, invites you to relish in front of a stunning beachfront while enjoying one of their refreshing specialty drinks. “The cocktail menu was created keeping in mind the experience of sensations and flavors of the Mediterranean, with fresh ingredients flowing into specially designed cocktails meant to be savored by the waterfront. Better yet enjoyed while watching the sunset and accompanied by our food options --all the thought-out elements come together giving life to Surf Caffè's relaxed concept,” says José “Chuck” Rivera, who created the cocktail menu with his colleagues, Leslie Cofresí and Roberto Berdecia.
To freshen up your experience, Rivera recommends five cocktails that you should definitely try this summer at Surf Caffè.
1. Frozen Mango Daiquiri
This cocktail is served frozen. Featuring mango, lime and Caribbean fruits, this is a drink that keeps you cool in any heat. White rum helps it to maintain those refreshing notes.
2. Prosecco Zurra
There’s nothing like a bubbly cocktail in our tropical climate, especially one made with D.O. Prosecco, accentuated with a blend of spices and citrus zest. And like anything, best enjoyed while in good company.
3. Aperol Spritz
A classic that needs no introduction, this Mediterranean drink has created its own revere. Our version is mixed with an aperitif made from rhubarb and bitter oranges, and our house Prosecco -- a cocktail ideal for any moment.
4. Cucumber Mule
Cucumber is one of the most commonly used ingredients to hydrate and refresh. In this case, we use it in our own take of a Moscow Mule. If you’re looking to relax at the beachfront, this is the perfect concoction.
5. Piña Colada
It’s not only Puerto Rico’s national cocktail, but it has become the star of almost every poolside bar around the world. We serve this classic cocktail honoring the original recipe that Ramón “Monchito” Marrero created.
Aware of Condado's vibrant and cosmopolitan energy, Colectivo Ícaro and Serafina Beach Hotel are sure that Surf Caffè is becoming the meeting point for both locals and tourists. Its beachfront bar offers music events on weekends, as well as collaborative activities to amuse the whole family. Learn more about Surf Caffè on Facebook and Instagram (@surfcaffe).
