“Shake, stir, mix and mingle!” Imagine bringing together two renowned chefs and five of the country’s top bartenders to a beautiful 1.5-acre rooftop location in New York City. Well, that is exactly what is happening October 23 - November 23 for Seaport Food Lab Remixed, a 5-week Mixologist Residency at R17 Rooftop Lounge in lower Manhattan.
This year’s Remixed edition will feature iconic NYC chefs, Wylie Dufresne and Mark Ladner, teaming up with five talented mixologists to create weekly cocktail parties. Together they will curate unique cocktail and food menus which will be offered to the public.
Each week of the event will have a different bartender serving up their specialty concoctions and we’re proud to announce that Icaro’s very own, Chuck Rivera (co-creator of Licorería Miramar) will be sharing his mixing mastery at this special residency.
Chuck is well respected in the Puerto Rican hospitality industry and has contributed significantly to putting the island;'s hospitality industry on the map internationally. “For me, it’s very exciting to be included among such a talented and accomplished roster of bartenders and to work alongside two James Beard-awarded Chefs such as Mark Ladner and Wylie Dufresne. It’s truly a great honor and I am very thankful to Seaport District for hosting such an amazing event and inviting me to be a part of it.”
